Tournament Rules
PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED TO READ THE COMPLETE TOURNAMENT RULES HANDBOOK LINKED BELOW BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN ANY MGC TOURNAMENT EVENTS.

PARTICIPATION DISCLAIMER: Tournaments are first come, first served. Purchase of an MGC product does not necessarily guarantee participation. Participation does not automatically guarantee any prize earnings. Participation will strictly be limited to “MGC Elite” members who have received and registered an official entry code.
RULES OF PARTICIPATION
1.1 Age of Participant - All participants must be 16+ years of age on the date of participation.
1.2 Punctuality - All participants are required to be ready 10 minutes prior to the commencement of each match.
1.3 Results Verification - All participants are required to screenshot their placement at the conclusion of each match to verify their identity should Mobile Gaming Corps require it for payment purposes.
1.4 Payment - In order to receive prize winnings players must have a digital means of collecting funds, i.e. PayPal. MGC reserves the right to designate one or more preferable payment distribution methods and it it the responsibility of the winner to create and maintain an active account in these service(s).
IMPORTANT MUST READ: For any player winning $600 OR MORE within one calendar year, a W-9 tax form is required to be completed and returned before prize money is paid out. If MGC does not receive a complete W-9 form from the winner, no prize money will be distributed.
1.5 Match Information - PUBG Mobile custom room information (ID and Password) will be distributed to MGC Elite members through the official Discord Server. Information is NOT to be distributed to any other party by participants. Players found leaking match information may be barred from future participation, including losing “MGC Elite” status.
CODE OF CONDUCT
2.1 General
Mobile Gaming Corps has the right to decide outside or even against the rulebook in special cases to guarantee fair play.
2.2 Code of Conduct
Every participant has to behave with respect towards the representatives of Mobile Gaming Corps, press, viewers, partners and other players. The participants are requested to represent eSports, Mobile Gaming Corps, and their Sponsors honorably. This applies to behavior in-game and also in chats, messengers, comments and other media. We expect players to conduct themselves according to the following values: Integrity, respect, honesty, fairness, and an overall general sense of positivity.
A. Prohibition of Harassment Participants must not engage in harassment or hate speech in any form. This includes, but is not limited to:
● Hate speech, offensive behavior, or verbal abuse of any kind, and especially abuse related to sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, or religion.
● Stalking or intimidation (physically or online).
● Spamming, raiding, hijacking, or inciting disruption of streams or social media.
● Posting or threatening to post other people’s personally identifying information (“doxing”).
● Unwelcome sexual attention. This includes, unwelcome sexualized comments, jokes, and sexual advances.
● Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior. Violation of this Code of Conduct will result in disqualification, temporary bans, or permanent bans from any and all future competitions. All discipline is at the sole discretion of Mobile Gaming Corps.
B. Insults and Offensive Behavior
All insults that happen during a Mobile Gaming Corps event or in the Mobile Gaming Corps Discord, may be punished. This includes in-game chat of the corresponding game, guestbooks, forums, Match- or News-Comments, Mobile Gaming Corps Messages, Gather-Chat, Match-Chat. Insults that happen on external messengers are not taken into account. Severe incidents including, but not limited to the following points, may be punished in other ways:
● Extremist statements
● Threat of violence
● Sexual harassment
● Stalking
● Severe insults
● Pornographic links
2.3 Matches, Competitions, and Meetings - In all competitions there should be a fair playing field for all players. Players must not seek to advantage themselves or disadvantage their opponents in anyway. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
● Hacks or scripts of any kind
● Sabotaging opponents’ hardware or game files
● Collusion between players on separate teams
● Communication of any form between players on different teams while a match/game is ongoing
● Premeditated coordination to win and split any monetary prizes.
2.4 Game/Client - In general, all programs which are not part of the original game, including custom-data and modifications, are not allowed in any Mobile Gaming Corps competition. All external voice programs are allowed (e.g. Discord, Skype etc.). Programs that provide an advantage during game play (e.g. drivers that allow the removing of walls) are forbidden. Any programs that change the game itself are forbidden.
2.5 Broadcast Exclusivity - Mobile Gaming Corps reserves exclusive rights to the partial or entire coverage of Mobile Gaming Corps sponsored events.
3. Deception and Cheating - Mobile Gaming Corps expressly prohibits any action which undermines an even playing-field, including, but not limited to, the terms outlined below.
3.1 Prohibition of Deception - The attempt to deceive admins or other players with wrong or fake statements, information or data will not be tolerated.
3.2 Other Unauthorized Offences Including but not limited to the abusing of bugs in the website, game, etc. These penalties are at the discretion of Mobile Gaming Corps and are penalized according to severity.
3.3 Cheating
A. Definition of Cheating - To do any specific behavior that has nothing to do with one’s ability or affects the fairness of the matches, before or during the matches.
B. Prohibition of Cheating
All forms of cheating during Mobile Gaming Corps events and matches are forbidden and will be penalized by Mobile Gaming Corps. Players found cheating outside of Mobile Gaming Corps may be barred from participation by Mobile Gaming Corps depending on available evidence. Should it become known to Mobile Gaming Corps administrators that any form of cheating was used to the advantage of a player or a team during a Mobile Gaming Corps match, Mobile Gaming Corps reserves the right to punish them to the full extent of the rules available. By breaking any rule a player risks being barred or completely excluded from a specific league or from all leagues. This also includes their team. The use of programs (or "hacks") or other methods to circumvent, modify or in any way manipulate Mobile Gaming Corps or a game is forbidden. Any use of such programs or methods will be punished as cheating.
C. Distribution of Cheats Contributing to the distribution of cheats in any way is not allowed by Mobile Gaming Corps. This includes but is not limited to referring to the name, website or logo of cheats anywhere on Mobile Gaming Corps, such as player profiles, team profiles, forums, comments, guest book entries, etc.
D. Cheating Sanctions Disqualification from the tournament, results voided, forfeiture of prize money, and temporary or lifetime bans depending on age and level of player and nature/size of tournament and how the player cheated. Cheating at a professional level (i.e. where qualification for a professional event is at stake) should normally result in a permanent ban.
3.4 Match-Fixing/Betting Fraud
A. Definition Engaging in any action that improperly influences the outcome of a game or match by any means.
B. Match-Fixing Sanctions -Teams found to be fixing matches will be immediately disqualified if during the event, or forfeit their prize money if the event has already concluded.
3.5 Competition Manipulation and Bribery
A. Definition Bribing or attempting to bribe a referee or organizer or trying to manipulate the competition.
B. Competition Manipulation and Bribery Sanctions Results voided, temporary ban determined by Mobile Gaming Corps, forfeiture of prize money (if discovered before the end of a tournament, disqualification).
3.6 Repeat Offences For second and subsequent offences, participants should expect far harsher punishments and in all likelihood a lifetime ban from Mobile Gaming Corps events.
4. Responsibilities of Players and Teams - To ensure smooth operations during events players are required to abide by the following. Specific events may have additional literature regarding rules for players; neither those rules nor this handbook shall seek to negate the other.
4.1 Scheduling - All teams and players are required to comply with all schedules and time informed by the Organizer or the operating team, in order for successful completion of the event.
4.2 Discord - On occasions determined by Mobile Gaming Corps there will be a dedicated Discord Server created to support event operations and administration. If this is the case, all players will be required to join the server and actively read all postings from Mobile Gaming Corps officials. If required, teams must join specific voice channels to conduct their teamspeak. Joining another team’s voice chat at any time, whether during a match or otherwise, is expressly forbidden and will result in automatic disqualification and potentially more penalties.
4.3 Nicknames, Team Names and Aliases We reserve the right to edit Nicknames and/or aliases, if they fail to comply with the following requirements. Nicknames/aliases are forbidden if they:
● are protected by third-party rights/trademark and the user has no written permission
● resemble or if they are identical to a real person other than themselves
● are nonsense (ex: ahhagufsrwatgag).
4.4 Sponsors/Partnerships - The Mobile Gaming Corps administration reserves the right to prohibit or remove teams with sponsors or partners that are solely or widely known for pornographic, drug use or other adult/mature themes and products from partaking in Mobile Gaming Corps Play events at any time.
